Agnieszka Radwanska

Agnieszka Radwańska (born 6 March 1989 in Kraków, full name Agnieszka Roma Radwańska) is a WTA Tour Polish tennis player.

Her career high singles ranking is World No. 8, which she achieved on 22 February 2010. As of 11 October 2010, she is ranked World No. 14. In 2007, Radwańska became the first Polish player in history to claim a Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title when she won the Nordea Nordic Light Open. In 2008, she won three more singles titles: the Pattaya Women's Open, the Istanbul Cup, and the International Women's Open.

Radwańska has also reached three Grand Slam Quarterfinals, becoming the first Polish woman in WTA to reach that far in a Grand Slam. On 24 May 2008, she became the first Polish female tennis player to surpass US$1 million in career prize money.

Radwańska is an all-court player (as shown with her results on different surfaces. She won three titles in 2008 on hard, clay, and grass courts). She hits consistently on both the forehand and the backhand sides. Her favorite shot is her forehand, particularly the inside-out forehand which is her most powerful shot

She is also very accurate with the drop shot and lob. She lacks much of the "power plays" of other players like Maria Sharapova or the Williams sisters, thus she relies on tactical accuracy and patience on constructing the point before hitting a winner.

In addition, Radwańska is known for her gamesmanship. Because of this playing style, several commentators have compared her to Martina Hingis, saying that she is "a natural mover who understands the geometry of the court". However, several commentators have also said that Radwańska lacks the serving power and offensive capabilities to become a top 3 player.

Monica Seles

Monica Seles (born December 2, 1973) is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player and a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. She was born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia to Hungarian parents. She became a naturalized United States citizen in 1994 and also received Hungarian citizenship in June 2007. She won nine Grand Slam singles titles, winning eight of them while a citizen of Yugoslavia and one while a citizen of the United States.

She became the youngest-ever champion at the 1990 French Open at the age of 16. She was the World No. 1 player in the women's game during 1991 and 1992, but in 1993 she was forced out of the sport for more than two years following an on-court attack in which man stabbed her in the back with a 9-inch-long knife."1993: Tennis star stabbed"

She enjoyed some success after returning to the tour in 1995, including a Grand Slam singles title at the 1996 Australian Open, but was unable consistently to reproduce her best form. Seles played her last professional match at the 2003 French Open, but her official retirement announcement was not issued until February 2008.

Seles was listed as the 13th greatest player of all time (men and women) by (U.S.) Tennis magazine and was also one of 15 women named by Australian Tennis magazine as the greatest champions of the last 30 years (players were listed chronologically).

Monica Seles is the Goodwill Ambassador of IIMSAM, the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) where she joins people like Diego Maradona, Tushar Gandhi, Sanjay Dutt, Carolina Herrera and Barack Obama's family to make Spirulina, a key driver to eradicate malnutrition, achieve food security and bridge the health divide in order to secure the United Nations Millennium Development Goals with a special priority for the developing and the least developed countries.

On April 21, 2009, Seles released her memoir Getting A Grip: On My Body, My Mind, My Self which chronicles her bout with depression and food addiction after her stabbing, her father's cancer diagnosis and eventual death, her journey back to the game and a life beyond tennis.
Marion Bartoli

Marion Bartoli (born October 2, 1984) is a French professional tennis player and the current French No. 1. She has won five Women's Tennis Association titles, and was runner-up at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships.

She has also recorded wins over former World No. 1s Venus Williams, Ana Ivanović, Lindsay Davenport, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario and Dinara Safina as well as many top 5 and top 10 players.
